Is This New Year Belated...?
Ah… my first blog entry of 2006. As I’m typing this, it’s about 3:43 in the morning. I’ve just finished watching a wonderful Channel Four film that I’ve seen far too many times [Beautiful Thing] and I’m all hopped up on Coca-Cola and Honey Bunches of Oat. [If there’s a better combination than Coke and cereal, I’d like to hear about it.] I’ve just slipped in a Family Guy DVD, so my mood should stay pretty positive between now and the time I choose to give in to sleepiness.I had a relatively decent week. I’ve made some positive steps toward working through some issues my friend Nicholas and I were having, so that’s always a good thing. I was finally able to by my own camera [I’d been using my mum’s before], so I’m very pleased with that. My sister’s boyfriend is here, and I always get a few hugs out of him, so that’s a reason to smile too. [He’s a weirdo.] And my Isis stuff came in this week, and I now have 3 feather quills, a bottle of ink, and some parchment paper. I’m thinking of getting a wax seal set for my envelopes too. [I’m such a nerd.] All I’m really missing now is an owl, though I may not need one if I can just teach Salem [my kitty] to fly. But he’s quite fat, so I don’t really think he’d be all that aerodynamic.
We [my family] are going to be moving into an apartment downstairs, which really pisses me off. For one, I have to take down all the fucking posters in my room and transfer them to my new room, along with all the other shit I own. And secondly, I think it’s just really stupid to move somewhere else within the same building. We’re literally only going down one number. We currently live in apartment 3, and we’re moving to apartment 2. Isn’t that reaaaaaaally stupid? *sigh* Of course, I don’t really have a say in the matter.

I would really love to grow a beard and mustache to resemble Captain Morgan [shown in the image to the right]. I don’t entirely know why, but I think it’d just be really cool. When I’m deep in thought, I can sit there and stroke my beard or mustache casually, as if I’m really putting a great deal of effort into every little thing that pops up in my noggin. It’d be the most wicked thing ever.
I’m really pleased with the feedback I received from my friends at GP, concerning my podcast with Dani [shown in the image to the left]. I didn’t really think anyone would listen to it, but the remaining ⅔ of the Holy Trinity and a few other cool people [like Rainbow] seem to like what he and I recorded. I smiled when I read the first comment, as I was really taken by the idea that anyone would care enough to download the file in the first place. Plus, it was my first podcast with Dani, so I really wanted as many people to hear it as possible. He’s a sweetheart, and the fact that he was willing to share his voice with the world and me is amazing. [He’s quite a soft-spoken and shy person, so it’s a big deal that he was willing to co-host.] I think it all turned out quite well, and I may be able to talk him into it again in the future.I’m going to close the blog entry here because I’m actually quite tired. [I’m at that stage where one starts to doze a bit and smack one’s noggin across several keys on the desk at once.] So please look after yourselves, stay wicked, and go see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire about 16 times. Love you all!
Until next time…
