Pandaboy: The Legend Continues...

Ok, so a scant few of you have inquired about where I've been hiding. And in truth... eh... I just haven't been up to updating this thing. As of late, there's been some shit in my life that I've had to attend to, and it just wasn't all that possible to update the blog without sounding entirely bitter and forced. Again, I'm sorry about that. I don't really want to get into what's been bothering me, but it involves a friend[?] who has been less than accessible lately, which is a constant bummer. But that in itself is more information than I wanted to burden you all with, so I'll move on.

Thanksgiving [which, for you non-Americans, is the holiday that gives us in the U.S. an excuse to fatten ourselves up with obscene amounts of bird meat] just passed recently, and I'll simply report that it was pretty uneventful. I actually slept through most of it, as I wasn't feeling too great. My family pigged out, and I merely dozed the entire time, finally waking around 11pm. And of course I was really groggy at that point. Almost fell down and whacked my noggin on the kitchen table as I went for some eggnog. I didn't eat nearly as much food as the rest of my family seems to have devoured. Guess I wasn't in the mood to be a piggy. But yeah, didn't do much at all that day. I think I actually went back to sleep after having a bite to eat. I really didn't feel very great at all.

I'm in the process of updating my website, which may be a bit stupid or it may be entirely wonderful. My biggest problem at the moment is the image map I'm trying to use as a menu. I keep fucking up the coordinates. So instead of going where the links should go, I'm having "wrong path" issues. I'm likely going to switch to individual little files, which is far less fuckupable. I really want the site to be up within the next week or so, which means I have to work my ass off to get it done. *sigh* It's just a lot of work, especially considering the pathetically low amount of visitors. I've put a lot of work into something that [clearly] gets no recognition whatsoever. Which leads me to the message board issue. I've closed it until further notice because no one gave a shit about it. But the minute I closed it, people started bitching about that. And it's like... Where the fuck were you when it was open?! It really pisses me off that I'm getting treated like a bad guy for closing down something that no one cared about anyway. Geesh!

I'm hoping to get a new computer. With any luck, I'll have one by January. I've hit a slight snag, however. I have the computer on layaway as we speak, but I have to find a way to pay it off before they restock it. [On the 15th of December, if I haven't paid and picked it up, they take it back to the shelves.] This wouldn't have been a problem without that December 15th deadline, as I get paid in December and would have paid the computer off and picked it up before January. But I don't get paid until after the 15th, which is where everything gets fucked up. So yeah... I have at least one person [Dani, seen here] who's offering to help with some money, so I simply have to find a few others. Paying it back will be easy, as I get paid on the 17th and the 23rd, according to my boss. I'm probably going to bother some family members in the next week, testing my luck. I really didn't want to borrow money from Dani, but he would've made me if I didn't agree. Hehehe. He kind of had to talk me into it. But he's sweet to want to help. I'm really hoping everything will work out in the end, as I really need my own computer. [I currently share one with 4 other people, which provides constant headaches, little privacy, and a vampire's sleeping schedule.] Wish me luck!

Ok... I figure this one's quite long enough, so I'm placing the stopper in the blog bottle now. Feel free to comment and laugh and do all the other things that you strange blog readers do. Take care, be good, and look both ways before crossing the street.

Until next time...
